This one is probably the only PLUTONIUM song (so far) dealing with nostalgia. As a matter of fact, the music was made by me in the middle of the 90´s when a friend and I tried to write some primitive black metal stuff. I remember we were quite satisfied with the songs we created, it was winter and we were rehearsing the songs at my parents´ place where I lived then. They still live in the countryside in a part of Sweden which is called Västergötland. I grew up there, outside a small town of 10000 inhabitants, surrounded by forests and fields – a pretty good environment to isolate and develop in. Naturally the song isn´t recorded the way it sounded like in those days. Almost 20 years have gone, and I wasn´t 100 percent satisfied back then, so I re-arranged it quite a bit. However, I think the feeling of the song is definitely the same as back then.
The lyric deals with revisiting those years, when I took long walks in the forests, both in daylight and at night, trying to find the answer to the eternal question :”Who am I?”. Also, I found some inspiration in the movie ”Rabbits moon” by Kenneth Anger, which I really recommend to all of you.
